Traditional, family-owned, low intervention, and all-around delicious. An excellent mezcal for all! (and so smooth, it's a great intro-mezcal for those just starting to explore the style)
A joven (read: young) mezcal is distilled by Rodolfo, a seasoned mezcalero and the only primary school teacher in a small Zapotec village outside San Juan del Rio. Made in very small batches, each bottle is numbered, printed, and beeswax-dipped by hand.
Plus, their website is adorable and designed after a Myspace profile page.
