Oszkár is a 4th-generation winemaker whose family settled in the 19th century in the southern part of the Kingdom of Hungary, most of which is now part of Serbia. He cultivates a total of 16 acres across two distinct terroirs in the country. Six acres are located in Subotica, near the Serbian-Hungarian border, where very old vines of local varieties thrive on sandy soils. The remaining 10 acres are in the historic region of Syrmia, on the slopes of Fruška Gora Mountain. This area, facing the Danube River, was once an island in the Pannonian Sea millions of years ago, with soil composed of volcanic and sedimentary rocks in a near-pristine natural environment.
