Last House Midnite Négoce Rosé
Details
'Last House is a tiny, family-run project in Prince Edward County that André Gagné started with his wife Debra as he entered retirement. After meeting and chatting with André, one can easily tell that this is a winery built on pure love.
Their Midnite Négoce project is made with grapes grown on the other side of the lake. For this dark, serious rosé, they source Cabernet Franc from Kevin Watson’s vineyard in Niagara’s Four Mile Creek. The grapes get just 12 hours on their skins, then ferment wild, mostly in stainless steel (they only get a 10% kissy kiss of oak). It’s unfined, unfiltered, and bottled by hand.' - Canary Counter
Region: Prince Edward County/Niagara, Ontario
Grapes: Cabernet Franc
Tasting Notes: wild strawberry, wild thyme, lemon peel.
