Aseginolaza & Leunda are Jon and Pedro, two school friends of the 1979 vintage from the Basque Country currently living in Navarra. As two environmental biologists, they focus on creating the finest wines in the region with consideration to the ecosystem around them.
They often find ancient –and often abandoned– unirrigated, bush-vines, and set about rehabilitating the vineyard without herbicides or systemic pesticides. Their philosophy is simple: maximum respect for the environment combined with minimal intervention in the winery.
