Colterenzio 'Pfefferer' Vigneti delle Dolomiti Moscato
Details
Don't let the title lead you astray, this Moscato is GOOD!
Colterenzio's legendary little green bottle of joy has a long history, and is an absolutely delightful patio sipper, fantastic for hot and humid summer days.
The name 'Pfefferer' refers to a subvariety of Muscat that boasts a fresh and spicy aroma. This area of Italy has strong Germanic influence, and the local dialect has always referred to this grape as Pfefferer, the German word for Pepper. Pepper also happens to be our sommelier's last name, we thought it was cute, ok!
Unashamedly aromatic and elegant (same!) dry (only 5.3g/L), youthful, and zesty (ALSO SAME!), this wine will not disappoint.
Best enjoyed ice cold with salty and light snacks, ceviche, light fish dishes, or easily on its own.
Region: Alto Adige, Italy
Grapes: Moscato Giallo ('golden muscat', known in the local dialect as 'pfefferer')
Tasting Notes: sultana, golden grapes, honeysuckle, grapefruit candies, white pepper, fresh ginger
