Briottet Kumquat Liqueur
Details
Briottet is one of the oldest flavoured liqueur houses in the world, founded in 1836. They make world-class liqueurs and crèmes for the best versions of your favourite cocktail, or something new and exciting!
Kumquat liqueur is an original and atypical citrus liqueur in their range of neat-o flavours!
The kumquat is a fruit relative of the mandarin, from the Rutaceae family, like its cousins, the orange and lemon.
Kumquats are tiny, fully edible oranges (skin and all)! Native to China, their name comes from the Chinese 'golden orange' and is the smallest citrus on the planet. This fruity and luscious texture is met with a soft bitterness from the tannin in the skins, stopping it from being too sweet.
Use this liqueur in place of curaçao, triple sec, or cointreau in your next margarita (or anywhere that calls for these orange liqueurs, really) and try something brand new!
The spirit is also clear (as you can see) and won't change the colour of any bright drinks for summer crushing ;)
